Three Bureau Credit Monitoring
Identity thieves count on the fact that you do not keep track of changes to your credit files. Often you wait until you have an occasion to open a new credit line or make a loan to access your credit report. This allows thieves to assume your identity, open accounts in your name, and operate silently. As an Ultimate ID® Plus member, your credit file is monitored with all three credit bureaus for new or suspicious activity. If the monitoring service detects suspicious activity, an alert will be generated and sent to you the same day which will allow you to confirm whether or not the activity is yours. Frequently monitoring your credit reports may help identify fraud early, allowing the extent of the damage to be mitigated.

Internet Black Market Monitoring

Deep, Dark and Surface Website Monitoring
Dark Web monitoring is an intelligent and proactive identity theft detection solution that searches for compromised information across the deep, dark and surface web, as well as underground forums and file sharing sources.

What Is the Deep Web and Dark Web?
Think of the Internet as three distinct places: surface, deep web and dark web.

  • On the surface are searchable, accessible websites such as Google, Facebook, Amazon, news websites and so on.
  • The deep web, home of sites you can’t search for such as your online banking, medical records and email.
  • The dark web is a repository for criminal activity and a marketplace where identities and personal information are traded and sold.
  • By design, it's complicated network of restricted software and private websites make it more difficult to monitor than surface‐level theft and fraud.

By performing comprehensive reviews of websites frequented by hackers and cybercriminals, it is possible to detect your personal information being traded or sold before the criminal uses it.

When you enroll, you will have full control over what information you choose to be monitored. We then continuously (24/7) monitor the deep, dark, and surface web to detect the trading and selling of the information you provided. If we find any of the information being monitored, you will receive a notification that your information has been found online. This alert allows you to take immediate action to prevent, or reduce losses, such as changing a password or closing an account.

Credential Vault
With Credential Vault, you can record critical information you may need to access in the event of a lost or stolen purse or wallet, personal crisis such as a home burglary or fire, or even a natural disaster. Credentials are a string of alpha and/or numeric digits that uniquely point back to you. You can securely store up to 50 credentials such as information about your debit or credit cards, bank accounts, saving or investment accounts, deeds, insurance, or equipment serial numbers. This information can be accessed through your secure logon to your personal Identity Care Account at any time to be reviewed, edited or deleted.

Instant Inquiry
Instant Inquiry immediately alerts you when a creditor requests your report at TransUnion. You will automatically receive an email as soon as TransUnion receives the request. This means that if an identity thief applies for credit in your name and the creditor requests a TransUnion credit report, you will find out as soon as the credit bureau does, allowing you to quickly identify potential fraud.

Score Tracker
Track your score overtime and see how it changes! With Score Tracker, you will receive monthly email alerts when a new score is available to view. With the Score Tracker monthly updates, you can visualize and track your score performance and stay informed of imperative score changes.

3 Generation Fully Managed Identity Fraud Research, Remediation and Recovery Services
If, for any reason, you are a victim or believe you have been a victim of identity theft, a professional Recovery Advocate will manage your recovery process to help restore your name and credit to pre‐event status. The Recovery Advocate will handle the phone calls, paperwork, and the follow‐up through a Limited Power of Attorney authorization.

Once you report an identity theft, you will be assigned your own Recovery Advocate who will document your case and perform the necessary actions to recover your name and credit history. Your Recovery Advocate will begin by immediately sending an Identity Theft Recovery Packet to you by email, fax, or overnight delivery, with a Limited Power of Attorney authorization form, and instructions. Once you return the necessary forms, depending on your case, your Recovery Advocate will be prepared to perform the following actions:

Provide you with copies of credit reports from the three major credit bureaus and review the reports with you to identify fraudulent activity.
  • Place fraud alerts at the three major credit bureaus with you.
  • Initiate one bureau credit monitoring to be in place throughout recovery and for 12 months, post‐resolution.
  • Assist you in completing the official identity theft affidavit from the Federal Trade Commission to establish your rights as a victim.
  • Contact the Social Security Administration, U.S. Postal Service, and other governmental organizations, among others, to reverse any wrongful information, transactions, or misuse of official documentation as applicable to your case.
  • Research and document any fraudulent transactions, false accounts, or contracts signed with creditors, banks, utility companies, leasing agents, medical facilities, etc., and follow up to have the wrongful activity removed from your credit file.
  • Ensure you are kept informed with case status updates either through personal emails, phone calls or messages available 24/7/365 in your Identity Care Account.
  • Create and then maintain a law enforcement-grade case file to assist law enforcement in the prosecution of the perpetrators.
  • Provide personal, post‐recovery follow‐up for 12 months on eligible accounts.

If you lose any of your Personally Identifiable Information (PII), a Recovery Advocate will be available to assist you in addressing and replacing the lost documentation, such as credit cards, licenses, passports, and/or government-issued documents.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an identity theft event?
An identity theft event is the theft of your personal identification, Social Security number, or other method of identifying you, including any personal information not generally available to the public, which has resulted or could reasonably be said to result in the wrongful use of such information, including, but not limited to, stolen identity events occurring on or arising out of your use of the internet.

What is 3 Bureau Credit Monitoring?
Credit monitoring provides protection for a qualifying member against identity theft by monitoring your Experian, Equifax and TransUnion credit reports for new activity. If and when any new activity occurs, you will receive an alert which has been triggered by a change in credit file. The alert will provide details on the type of activity that has triggered a change: new credit account, application for loan, application for vehicle loan, or change of address — to name a few. If you believe any recent activity is fraudulent, our Recovery Advocates are available to assist. Some creditors report events to a single Credit Bureau. In order to get an inclusive monitored status of your credit, it is important to monitor all 3 Credit Bureaus. Actively monitoring your credit reports will ensure any identity theft is recognized and with the help of our Recovery Advocates, handled properly and expediently.
Who is eligible for the 3G Identity Fraud Research, Remediation and Recovery Services?

A qualifying member means the enrolled primary member and spouse or domestic partner and the member’s dependents who have the same permanent address. The enrolled member and spouse or domestic partner can activate the credit monitoring program; however, the residing dependents are also eligible to take advantage of the 3G recovery services. Any active remediation process will continue to be provided coverage for up to 12 months after death of a covered member, if the membership remains eligible.

Who provides the recovery services?
Fully Managed Identity Fraud Research, Remediation and Recovery services are provided by Merchants Information Solutions, Inc., which screens and hires all the Recovery Advocates.
